Peak Plumbing was contracted by DOC to undertake the installation of solar Hot water heating units in
remote back country locations as an initiative to reduce the need for non-renewable heating fuels i.e LPG
water heating units.
i have been very satisfied with the work of Peak Plumbing and Steve Jarvis. His skill and proffesionalism
have been excellent and especially appreciated was his expertise regarding renewable energy Solar water
systems. Peak plumbing proved very competent at overcoming the challenges of the isolated work sites
and always paid due attention to health and safety.
Since our first dealings on the Solar projects we have had Peak Plumbing return on a number of other jobs
including upgrades and maintenance to our hut gas systems, replacement of the sewerage plant at
Routeburn falls hut and technical plumbing advice on potential renewable energy Micro Hydro electricity
generators.

heating system, to supply and install solar hot water and to advise on and install a PV
solar elctricity generation system.
